Antigoon is an interesting Belgian Pale Ale. It pours out of the 11.2oz bottle with a cloudy honey color and sporting an ample small bubble head. It has a very bready and slightly spicy scent with some fruity esters. This is one of the more interesting beers to smell. I was not certain how it would taste.
The scent did not prepare me for what was about to occur on the palette. At the first splash you are hit with a slight spiciness that blossoms into fruit barrage most notably of pear and apple. It finishes with a malty bready base with a spicy character. This is a fine Belgian Pale Ale with subtlety that is hard to match. Lots of balance and flavor to savor in this one.
