This is notably listed as a summer ale on the bottle.  At the time of this review, and after a long cold winter, this beer is just what the doctor ordered.  It pours into the glass with a cloudy straw color and a very generous head.  Be careful not to get too much of the yeast that is in the bottom of the bottle into your glass.  Also it will pour with a lot of head so care needs to be treated a little bit gently into the glass.

The scent is of banana cloves and floral spiciness.  On the taste front, it is exactly what you expect from a Belgian, lots of banana cloves and Belgian yeast funkiness.  It is dry and highly carbonated.  This beer pops and is bright on the tongue.  It tastes great and is a great summer beer from an American brewer that makes a very good run at a classic world style.
