V Twelve by Victory Brewing is listed as a self proclaimed Belgian Style Ale. It is a strong quadrupel coming in at 12% ABV. It pours into the glass a slightly cloudy amber orange with minimal head. It smells of raisin-y malts and fruity sweetness.
On the palette this is pretty true to the class description. This has a bold malt forward flavor. The bitterness is minimal and despite the noticeable presence of alcohol it invites you into the next sip. This is a beer that does justice to the style. It is available from Victory on a rotating basis year round.
