New Belgium – Snapshot (4 out of 5)

Brewed in: Colorado USA

Style:  American Wheat Pale Ale

ABV: 5.0%

This beer hits the glass with unfiltered pale straw flair.  The head was minimal on my pour but it was pretty cold.  It retained a small head with lacing throughout the drink. On the nose, this beer smells of slightly sour apples with some bready notes.

The taste was pretty straightforward from the scent.  There is a sour front end that finishes with a wheat bread flavor.  The carbonation keeps it crisp and pleasant.

More and more sour beers are entering the market and I couldn’t be happier.  This is a good entry and a beer I would pick up again.
